BJP MP Roopa Ganguly Hospitalized with Blood Clots in Kolkata
Yesterday, 24th December, 2016, BJP MP Roopa Ganguly has been admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata with “blood clots” in the brain tissues.
According to reports, she is under observation and “absolutely stable”. As per AMRI Hospitals statement, “Roopa Ganguly is admitted with a small brain hematoma. She is absolutely stable and under observation.”
BJP vice president Joyprakash Majumdar said that, “She was admitted to the AMRI hospital in Salt Lake at around 4 pm on Friday, after complaining of severe headache and partial loss of vision.”

State Bharatiya Janata Party leaders expressed his concern over Ganguly’s condition and wished her a speedy recovery. A medical board has been set up for round the clock monitoring of Ms Roopa Ganguly.
Senior BJP leaders visited Ganguly at the hospital in Kolkata. BJP national Secretary Rahul Sinha said that, “It seems she suffered a minor cerebral attack. Doctors said she had a blurry vision and blood clots in her brain. I wish her a speedy recovery.”
Roopa Ganguly gained cult popularity for playing Draupadi in the television series “Mahabharat” in the 1980s.
Ganguly joined BJP in 2015 and she was nominated to the Rajya Sabha in 2016. Ms. Ganguly is also the president of BJP’s women’s wing in the State.
