Parthiv Patel Replaces Wriddhiman Saha: Today, 23rd November, 2016, the BCCI confirmed replacement of an Indian cricketer Wriddhiman Saha for the third India Vs England test series.
Indian wicket keeper-batsman Parthiv Patel will replace the injured Wriddhiman Saha for the third test of the India-England series at Mohali.
This India Vs England 3rd test match will be Saha’s first Test match after eight years and his first international game after four years.
According to BCCI statement, “As a precautionary measure, Saha has been advised rest and will not play in the next Test match of the series. Parthiv Patel will replace Wriddhiman Saha in the Indian team for the third Test.”

Indian Wicket keepr and batsman Parthiv Patel has an experience of 20 Tests under his belt with 683 runs to his name at an average of 29.69.
Currently left-handed Indian batsman Parthiv Patel has been amongst the runs for Gujarat in the Ranji Trophy scoring 61, 53, 60, 21, 49 and 139* in the last six innings.
India Vs England 3rd test match will start on 26th November, 2016 at Mohali stadium. Rishabh is ranking on top in run charts in Ranji Trophy. His total runs are 874 runs but he lost this chance.
31year old Parthiv Patel played the last of his 20 Tests in August 2008 in Sri Lanka, as the second of two replacement wicketkeepers – Dinesh Karthik the other – after Dhoni opted to skip that three-Test tour. His last appearance for India in any format was an ODI in February 2012.
