Love poet : You’re my masterpiece
“You’re a canvas I’m learning to paint and I could never get tired of getting my hands dirty every time I touch you.
I’ve never created something as beautiful as the silence between the two of us when we’re holding hands, looking out into the sea.
You’re the withered rose petals between the pages of my favourite book, staining red on the white spaces and I cherish you with every memory you came with.
You’re a masterpiece.
You’re my masterpiece.
And I love all the empty spaces spilled over you creating noise in the middle of colours.
You’re my favourite song. I listen to you when I’m anxious and I crave your embrace when I can’t breathe.
Up close, your face is a map and it leads to the soft tendrils of your curly hair that I love tangling my fingers in.
Yet, you’re always trying to fix your hair when I’m not looking.
You’re the one thing in my life that keeps me happy now. Everything is so bright and loud, you’re quiet and mellow.
I love your rough hands and pink cheeks when you’re blushing every time I give you a compliment.
You’re so colourful in your own silence, you’re spilling over with ochre and blue and every hue I can possibly imagine.
I love your voice. I keep listening to the songs you sing on repeat and I make sure to make everyone else listen to them too.
I want to show you off to the world because I’m so crazily proud of you.
I love you even when there’s thunder
And I love you even when you’re crying.
I’ll always love you.
And I’m so glad I’ve finally found someone who loves me back the same way.”
