Sundar Pichai: Google CEO Calls Demonetisation A Bold Move For India
Google CEO Sundar Pichai is on the visit of India. On 4th January he announced the Digital Unlocked initiative for Indian small and medium businesses (SMB) to get them online.
Today on 5th January he is set to address the students at his alma-mater IIT Kharagpur. He will talk about his time at IIT-KGP and Google. He will also going to taking live questions.

He told that the Economic Times, that the prime minister’s demonetisation move was a bold one for a country like India. He also said that India could propel the country to global ranks in terms of digital payments.
The CEO of biggest internet company commented that “I have spent my life developing platforms. Every time you drive a platform shift, it has a big multiplicative effect, leveraged effect. Digitising a country of the scale of India, and making it work well, truly will have a beneficial effect,”
Google will also working for build the better digital products to make India more digital.
He also says that India has a chance to leapfrog some things other countries have struggled with. Physically CEO of google is looking different when he was named CEO of Google.
At IIT Kharagpur he talked about his wife Anjali. He said that “I met Anjali at IIT-K and she was my classmate. Also he talked about technologies and said how it can change our life.
Students asked google CEO that how he spend his free time. He replied that he is having two children who are 13 and 9 years old. He likes to spend his time with his children. He also loves watching cricket and football.
He also confessed in front of the students that his first year GPA was not that good. But he get better score in the last three years.
The founder of Infosys Mr. Narayan Murthy sir was his ideal during collage days. He also love to watch the play of Sachin Tendulkar.
